How to Add a Course

Open the Courses Folder (), under Training > Programs




Click the button in the top-right corner of the page.

 

 

In the New Add Course Card fill-out all necessary Information:

  • Name
  • Organization (DC)
  • Course Type
  • Subject Area
  • Certification
  • Hours
  • Cost
  • Has Exam (if the course requires an exam to Pass)

Add a Course Description in the Text-Editor window. This Description will be displayed on the Class Registration Page when you publish a class associated to this Course. Click Save when finished.



You can now Add a Facet to the Course in the Facets Tab. Select the appropriate Facet from the Drop-down selection and enter the number of Credit hours that will be associated to this Course. Click Save when finished.



Now you can create and publish a class that is tied to this specific Course.


Open the Classes & Modules Folder ( ) under Training > Programs


Click the button in the top-right corner of the page. 


In the new Add Class card fill-out all of the class information:

  • Course (Select the Course you have just created)
  • Class Number
  • Maximum number of seats
  • Start and end date
  • Start and end time
  • Status (Select)
  • Time zone (important if the class will be held virtually)

Select ‘Draft’ status to continue editing class before publishing it on the IUPAT class site. When you are ready to publish the class for student registration; select ‘Publish’.

Click Save button when finished. Open your new Class to further edit by clicking on the Card to expand.
