In UNITE, there is an automation feature that allows the system to send automatic email and text notifications to members whose certifications are nearing expiration. To ensure this feature works correctly, you must have the appropriate permissions.
Follow these steps to enable the automatic notification:
Step 1: Navigate to the Membership Tab
- Click on the Membership tab in the main menu.
Step 2: Select the Organization
- Click on Organizations to view a list of available organizations.
- Use the filter options to locate the specific organization you want to manage.
- In the filtered results, select the organization and click the Full Page View button.
Step 3: Configure Certification Expiration Notifications
- Once in the Full Page View of the organization, navigate to the Configure tab.
- Locate the setting labeled "Send Certification Expiration Warning."
- Check the box to enable automatic notifications.
How the Notification Works
- When enabled, UNITE will send an automated notification 90 days before a certification expires.
- Notifications are sent in the following order:
- Text Message – If the member has a mobile number on file and has not opted out.
- Email – If no mobile number is available or the member has opted out of text messages.
By following these steps, you can ensure that members receive timely reminders about their expiring certifications, helping them stay compliant and up to date.
