How to Identify and Unblock Blocked Numbers on Your Cell Phone

Modified on Tue, Apr 15 at 7:14 AM

We've seen an increase in cases where text messages from UNITE show as “delivered” but aren't actually received by members. The most common reason is that the IUPAT Phone number (+1 866-484-7859) may be accidentally blocked on their phones.

To help address this issue, we’ve created a clear, step-by-step troubleshooting guide for both Android and iOS (Apple iPhone) users.

This guide walks members through the process of checking for and unblocking numbers that may be unintentionally preventing messages—such as important updates from UNITE—from coming through.

iOS (Apple iPhone) Users

To check for blocked numbers on an Apple iPhone:

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Scroll down and select Phone, or type Phone into the search bar.

  3. Scroll and tap Blocked Contacts.

  4. Review the list to see if this IUPAT number +1(866) 484-7859  is blocked.

  5. If the number is blocked, to unblock;

    • Tap Edit in the top-right corner of the screen.

    • Tap the red minus (-) icon next to the number or contact.Tap Unblock to confirm.
Tap Done in the top-right corner when finished.

The number is now unblocked and can contact you again via calls and text messages.

Android Mobile Devices

To check for blocked numbers on most Android devices:

  1. Open the Phone app.

  2. Tap the three-dot menu (usually in the upper-right corner).

  3. Select Settings

  4. Tap Blocked numbers or Call blocking (the exact wording may vary depending on the device).

  5. Review the list to see if this IUPAT number +1(866) 484-7859  is blocked.

  6. Tap the X next to the number to unblock it:

The number is now unblocked and can contact you again via calls and text messages.
