Distribution List: How to Use Dynamic Date Filters

We have added 4 new dynamic date filters to the Distribution Lists/Grid View to help you create dynamic lists to view things like arrears listings. These filters are:

  • Days From Present
  • Days From Present Between
  • Months From Present
  • Months From Present Between

 

These dynamic filters can be used on all date fields in the Columns dropdown. The values will be present in the Match Type dropdown. 







Days From Present: This match type can be used to view a specific number of days in the past or future from the present date. To view past days be sure to enter in a NEGATIVE value within the Value field. 


Example: User wants to create a distribution list for all active Member’s whose dues were last paid was within the last week. 


 










Days From Present Between: This match type can be used to view a specific range of days in the past or future from the present date. To view past days be sure to enter in a NEGATIVE value within the Value field. 


Example: User wants to create a distribution list of members that Applied between 21 and 14 days ago.

 


 

Months From Present: This match type can be used to view a specific number of months in the past or future from the present date. To view past months be sure to enter in a NEGATIVE value within the Value field. 


Example: User wants to be able to create a distribution list to view all active Members who have Paid Through Dates between the current month and one month in advance. 


 

 

Months From Present Between: This match type can be used to view a specific range of months in the past or future from the present date. To view past months be sure to enter in a NEGATIVE value within the Value field. 


Example: User wants to be able to view all members who are currently in Arrears


 


Example Definitions: 

 All examples assume the date is 6/21/2023

  • Days from Present(negative number)
    1. start of range should be today minus the value entered
    2. end of range is today
    3. -1: between 6/20 and 6/21 
    4. -30: between 5/22 and 6/21 
  • Days from Present(positive number)
    1. start of range should be today
    2. end of range is today plus the value entered
    3. 1: between 6/21 and 6/22 
    4. 30: between 6/21 and 7/21 
  • Days from Present Between
    1. start of range should be today plus the value entered
    2. end of range should be today plus the value entered
    3. -30, -1: between 5/22 and 6/20 
    4. -30, 1: between 5/22 and 6/22 
    5. 1, 30: between 6/22 and 7/21 
  • Months from Present(negative number)
    1. start of range would be the first day of the month that is today's month minus the value entered.
    2. end of range is today
    3. -1: between 5/1/23 and 6/21 
    4. -30: between 12/1/20 and 6/21
  • Months from Present(positive number)
    1. start of range should be today
    2. end of range would be the last day of the month that is today's month plus the value entered
    3. 1: between 6/21/23 current time and 7/31/23 
    4. 30: between 6/21/23 current time and 12/31/25 
  • Months from Present Between
    1. start of range would be the first day of the month that is today's month plus the value entered.
    2. end of range would be the last day of the month that is today's month plus the value
    3. -30, -1: between 12/1/20 and 5/30/23
    4. -30, 1: between 12/1/20 and 7/31/23
    5. 1, 30: between 7/1/23 and 12/31/25
